For over 20 years BTA Baltic Insurance Company AAS (hereinafter – BTA) has been happy and proud to give the Monument of Freedom insurance of 1.5 million euros and present this gift to Riga municipality during the Patriotic Week.

Credibility is one of BTA’s values, and that’s why BTA is particularly honoured to give such a substantial gift to one of the biggest symbols of Latvia – the Monument of Freedom. For 88 years already it has been a symbol of our freedom, independence, and unity. While for over 20 years Riga municipality has been trusting BTA with taking care of its insurance. The cultural and historical value of this symbol of Latvia is priceless, that’s why it is our duty and our responsibility to preserve it for the next generations as well.
The Freedom Monument insurance gifted by BTA provides insurance cover against fire, leakage of fluids or vapours, natural disasters, as well as damage caused to the body of the monument resulting from unlawful activity by third parties, however, insurance claims were never received during the previous years.
Notwithstanding any current uncertainty and worldwide challenges, basic human values remain the same, and this is why during this festive season that is so important for Latvia, BTA encourages everyone to value our national independence and to safely celebrate the Proclamation Day of the Republic of Latvia! BTA cares about public security, therefore during this festive season the company urges you to remember about the lit candles, electrical devices connected to power or about a burning fireplace. BTA encourages you not to leave unattended neither your operated electronical devices, nor devices with an accumulator connected to power for charging. Use of inappropriate chargers is no less dangerous, or devices that are connected to your home power network, that is not fit for the respective power capacity. That’s why let’s be careful and pay attention to our safety as well, so that the festive season is filled with beautiful and happy moments only.
