Cases, when insurance is not in force
Without fastenings
Solar panels are not permanently mounted (e.g., attached by screws to load-bearing structures of the roof of the building) to the roof of the building or to the ground and are torn off during storm.
Fenced territory
When solar panels are located on the ground in an unfenced territory, risk against unlawful conduct by third parties is not insured.

Frequently asked questions
The whole solar panel system is insured – solar cells, solar panels, and inverters located both on roofs of buildings and on the ground. Solar panels and other equipment must be permanently attached (e.g., solar panels screwed to the load-bearing structures of the roof of the building).
If you choose insurance of solar panels without electronic risk:
- 2.50 €/month with insured sum of 5 000 €;
- 4.50 €/month with insured sum of 10 000 €;
- 6.50 €/month with insured sum of 15 000 €.
If you choose insurance plan Solar panels+ with electronic risk included:
- 3.50 €/month with the sum insured of 5 000 €;
- 5.50 €/month with the sum insured of 10 000 €;
- 7.50 €/month with the sum insured of 15 000 €.
Deductible for the solar panels insurance service is 140 €.
Solar panels+ insurance offer includes also insurance against electronic risks. Therefore, solar panels will be insured also against damage caused by:
- accidental or previously unannounced power supply interruption;
- overvoltage, overload, or short circuit;
- secondary phenomena of a lightning strike and electromagnetic and electric phenomena arising from it.

The validity term of the policy is indicated in the policy; however, the policy will not start earlier than the day after the conclusion of the policy.

Yes, you can insure solar panels separately with BTA if, e.g., you already have insured your private house with another insurer.
When an accident happens to the new equipment, wear and tear is not calculated, and indemnity is paid in full, except for the deductible. After approximately 10 years, when the wear and tear of panels exceeds 40 % of the sum of losses, the percentage of wear and tear will also be deducted.
